Bike/Walk Week 2025

This year, not only are we holding our annual Bike/Walk SLC event, but we’ll also be holding several events for the week leading up to Bike/Walk SLC.

We’ll kick it off on Saturday, May 24 encouraging folks to Explore the 9 Line Trail using active transportation! There will be stations set up along the trail in different neighborhoods with local maps of all of the amenities you can reach on the trail or within a short walking or biking distance. Visit all of the stations to be entered into a raffle! Simply pick up a punch card at the first station you visit, stop by the other stations to get a hole punch, then leave your completed punch card at your last station.

Next, on Monday, May 26, we’ll hold a peaceful, civic demonstration in support of protected bike lanes by creating a Human Protected Bike Lane on 300 South between State Street and Main Street (where the concrete buffer disappears and where drivers routinely park in the buffered bike lane.)

Then, on Wednesday, May 28 we’ll link up with the weekly Bike Club ride, which is an urban cruise that meanders through the city inspiring riders to explore their city more and have fun getting around. The ride ends at RoHa Brewing, where we’ll be hosting a Pints for a Purpose fundraiser that same evening, where part of the proceeds will be donated to Sweet Streets.

Finally, on Saturday, May 31 we’ll present our organization’s flagship event, Bike/Walk SLC! This year’s biking and walking tours will be based around Library Square, current home of our wonderful Main Library and future home of the redesigned Civic Block and Green Loop. Stay tuned for more details, but we’re planning to host a single biking loop, a mid-day pit stop/meetup, and a single walking loop, so that all participants are able to attend the entire event, if they choose (or join us for the parts that work best for you!).

Interested in partnering with Sweet Streets on Bike/Walk SLC 2025? Contact us to discuss sponsorships, collaborations, or co-branded tabling opportunities.

The Bike Club group ride cruises down what is arguably the best part of 300 West - cars, bikes, and pedestrians separated by rows of trees. Minus the dangerous north driveway of the Target shopping center, of course.
