What’s in Store for Our Streets in 2025 and Beyond?

2024 projects that will wrap up in 2025:

• 200 South - Just a few more things! Bike parking should go in at the 2nd and 2nd district soon. And, according to a UTA representative, the new bus stops should be getting lighting and real time displays this spring! We’ve also heard that funding is in place for transit signal priority, though we don’t know a timeline yet. Hopefully by the time the 2A/2B (7-8 minute buses for the current 2 route) are in place in Spring 2026?

• 1100 East - Striping should be completed in spring. In the meantime, be careful especially if you’re biking between 1700 and 2100 South!

• 300 North - Crews will return this spring to complete the project between 800 West and 1000 West, including a protected intersection at 1000 West. They will also add some raised crossings in a few places.

• 2100 South - Crews are currently working and the scheduled completion remains the end of this year.

• Capitol Hill Traffic Calming - A couple more speed bumps will go in along with a permanent build out of an improved intersection at 200 West and 600 North.

Projects new for 2025, these have completed most of their outreach:

• 1300 East

• 600/700 North

• 100 South

• 400 South Viaduct Trail

• 300 West Bikeway

• Kensington Neighborhood Byway

• Jordan Meadows Neighborhood Byway

• Ballpark Station Crosswalks

• California Avenue Safety Improvements (potential to move to 2026)

• Bus Stop Improvements (900 East, State St, Redwood Rd, 100 South and University St)

• Sunnyside Ave Safety Improvements

Surface Treatments with Potential Restriping for 2025, stay tuned for a survey in spring, for now, see the map on this page for a full list:

• 700 East (South Temple to 400 South)

• 700 South (300 West to 700 East)

• 1700 South (500 East to 1100 East)

• 2100 South (1500 East to 2100 East)

• 2100 East (1700 South to 1300 South)

• 11th Avenue (Virginia St to Terrace Hills Dr)

• 500 North (700 West to 1100 West) - this was actually resurfaced last year but bike lanes have not been striped yet
