Get Out and Celebrate with Sweet Streets

It’s Bike Month and we have things to celebrate!

May 7th - Help Make Your Neighborhood More Walkable

First, we’re posting wayfinding signs in almost every neighborhood in Salt Lake City encouraging folks to opt for walking or biking to nearby destinations. We’ll be posting these signs on Saturday, May 7th and we’d love help from our community. Find out more and sign up!

These signs have been made possible by a generous grant from AARP in support of our 20 Is Plenty campaign.

May 21st - Explore and Gather

Saturday afternoon, May 21st, we’re partnering up with local groups to co-host bike tours and walking tours in different parts of the city.

Details are still being confirmed but we will host one bike and one walking tour on each side of town – West and East.

Afterward, we’re gathering at Blue Gene’s (500 East and Broadway) to drink, be merry, and connect with the people that want sweeter streets in SLC.

Plus while we’re there we’ll be giving away two Sweet Streets gift bags (shirts + other goodies).

This is a great way to learn more about your city and connect with folks that want to take action for a less-car-focused life AND city.

Get details and RSVP for a tour and our gathering.

One more way to celebrate…

Share the signs!

We hope as you get out in your neighborhood or explore a new one, you’ll come across a Sweet Streets wayfinding sign. Snap a pic and make a post for a chance to win one of two Sweet Streets gift bags. Each post will be an entry and winners will be selected at the end of the month.

How to win:

  1. Take a picture of yourself or your buddy with a Sweet Streets wayfinding sign.

  2. Post to Instagram or Twitter

  3. Tag @SweetStreetsSLC.

  4. in your post let us know what you’re up to or where you’re heading.
