World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims in Salt Lake City

  • Washington Square Park (west, in front of City building entrance) 451 S State St Salt Lake City, UT, 84111 United States (map)

Organization: Sweet Streets

On Sunday, November 16, Salt Lake City will join those across the nation and the globe in the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims to honor those who have lost their lives or been impacted by roadway crashes. Held by Sweet Streets, community members will gather to demand action towards improving street safety, hear how traffic violence has impacted our community members, and SLC Transportation will share some of their recent and upcoming work to reduce traffic violence on our streets. The event will include a speaker program, tabling by transportation organizations, and a short walk and candlelight vigil near a recent crash site.

The event will be held rain or shine. With rain in the forecast, please plan to bring a jacket.
