Organization: KRCL
We're excited to announce the return of KRCL's Day in the Park to the International Peace Gardens on Saturday, August 23 from noon to 6pm. After a successful re-launch last year, Day In the Park keeps growing with more great local music, extra food trucks, local artists, cool vendors and activities for kids.
The day features live music from Pepper Rose and the Thorns, Lavender Menaces, Marv Hamilton, Sammy Brue, Lee Rafugee and The Sister Wives Band. Enjoy food from Balabe Senegalese Cuisine, Pandos Navajo Tacos and Touch of Polynesia.
Plus there's an Opportunity Drawing for a Bike, thanks to our sponsor Saturday Cycles!
Fun activities for all including: School of Rock instrument petting zoo, Winks the Clown making balloon animals, artist Ricky Vigil with art projects for kids. Local vendors include the 1974 Bookstore SLC - a bookstore by bike, stickers and art from Paisley Jensen Studios, chocolate and cheese tastings with Caputo’s Market & Deli, Sarah Lane Jewelry, Chase The Dyes tie dyes. And typewriter poems, caricatures and up cycled clothing from Anna Does (Almost) Anything.
